Looking back on a successful season

This season was filled with extraordinary moments and personal growth for our team. From preparing the car to competing across Europe, we continually pushed our limits. Each event, whether in Switzerland, Croatia or Italy, presented unique challenges, which we successfully overcame.

At our first event, FSCH in Switzerland, we achieved a 4th place finish overall—our highest placement in CURE Mannheim’s history. In August, we traveled to Croatia for the FSAA, where we completely restructured our accumulator and ultimately completed the endurance race successfully. Finally, we competed in Italy at FSATA, where we reached the podium in the cost event for the first time with a 3rd place and successfully drove our first-ever complete autonomous Skidpad.



Our Newest Projects

As the new season kicked off in October, we’ve shifted our focus to this season’s car. There’s a lot of activity in our workshop, and we’re working closely with our partners and sponsors for the necessary components. This year's car will feature an all-wheel drive monocoque design. We have recently started to work on the wheel assembly by using electrical discharge machining and the monocoque will soon be milled. In the upcoming months we will start laminating the monocoque. The preparations for all assembly groups have been underway for some time now and we’re thrilled to see everything coming together.

Here is a roundup of the latest happenings: New Project Leader We would like to introduce you to Roman Hill from Organization and Jakob Graf from Technology, who together make up our Project Management team. Furthermore, we are pleased to announce Luisa Andrae as our new Chief Financial Officer. With their ambition and experience from last season, they will lead our efforts this year.  Liebe Unterstützende, unser Projekt CM-23x wurde vor Kurzem der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt.  Neun Monate harte Arbeit und am 03.06.2023 war es endlich so weit, der Rollout von CM-23x. Dieser Tag stellt einen der größten Meilensteine der diesjährigen Saison dar. An diesem Tag hatten wir die große Ehre auf der BuGa in Mannheim unseren neuen Rennwagen vorstellen zu können. CM-23x oder auch „Rennate“ hat einige technische Neuerungen, um das Ziel des schnellsten Rennwagens der Vereinsgeschichte zu erreichen. Zwei technische Neuerungen sind hierbei eine Traction Control und ein Torque Vectoring System. Diese Systeme dienen im Vergleich zu ähnlichen Systemen aus Serienfahrzeugen nicht hauptsächlich der Fahrzeugsicherheit, sondern sorgen durch eine bessere Drehmomentverteilung und das Vermeiden von Radschlupf zu einer besseren Performance auf der Rennstrecke.
