Season Finale at Formula Student Germany!

Bild
This season's grand finale took us to the legendary Hockenheimring, the home of Formula Student Germany, held from 18-24 August 2025. A week that had everything: tight schedules, team spirits, night shifts, and the kinds of highs and lows that define race season. Right from arrival, the focus was sharp. One by one, we cleared all scrutineerings: Mechanical, electrical, and driverless, and made our way through the statics with solid results in Business Plan, Cost & Manufacturing, and Engineering Design. With green lights in hand, it was time to hit the track! Monicar took on manual SkidPad and Acceleration with steady runs and precision. Our driverless system also lined up for Autocross and gave its best at SkidPad and Acceleration, where just a few seconds stood between us and the start of official runs. Then came the kind of challenge you never plan for: during manual Autocross, the front left suspension gave way mid-run. Within minutes, the pit turned into a workshop. Overn...

CURE Mannheim at Formula Student Czech Republic 2025

Event at a glance: Formula Student Czech Republic took place 4–9 August 2025 at the Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic, featuring the full slate of static and dynamic disciplines under the FS Rules 2025, including Driverless options. We rolled into Most after a scenic drive, set up camp, and kicked off race week with excitement. From there, the week became a masterclass in teamwork. Scrutineering rollercoaster. We cleared mechanical scrutineering and pre-inspection early then regrouped after missing the first accumulator scrutineering attempt. The next days were all about momentum: Business Plan Presentation done, Cost & Manufacturing checked, and focused fixes after e-scruti feedback. A sudden downpour briefly turned our pit into a paddling pool, but spirits stayed high. By Day 5 we completed LV & HV electrical inspections - electric scrutineering: finished. The classic tilt, rain and brake tests followed and we earned the green light to drive. Dynamic days. With scrutineerin...

Successful start to the season for CURE Mannheim e.V. at Formula Student Switzerland 2025

Bild
Fully motivated, with toolboxes in tow and “Monicar” on the trailer, we set off for Geschinen in Switzerland in mid-July – for Formula Student Switzerland 2025. After months of preparation, the time had finally come: the first event of the season was upon us. Against the impressive backdrop of the Swiss Alps, an intense week awaited us – with technical inspections, static presentations, dynamic races, and many unforgettable moments in the paddock. After moving into the camp and taking our first steps through the scrutineering halls, everything happened quickly: scrutineering passed, technical tests mastered, presentations given. We were particularly pleased with our 3rd place in the business plan – a nice confirmation of the conceptual work we had done over the past few months. Of course, not everything went smoothly. Technical challenges, especially with the aerodynamic package, forced us to do without front and rear wings. Nevertheless, we were able to compete in three of the fo...

Thanks to your continued support, we’ve hit the ground running and made fantastic progress on the racecar over the past months, including completing the laminating of the negative mold for the monocoque, advancing with a turning wheelset and diving deep into the quiz preparation. Laminating the negative mold for the monocoque With the completion of laminating the last negative mold in January, we have taken a significant step towards producing our first monocoque chassis. This milestone was achieved thanks to the hard work of our team members and the invaluable support of our partner, Faserschmiede GmbH, whose autoclave played a key role in the process. In the upcoming weeks, we will focus on preparing the negative mold to laminate our very first monocoque into.  Turning wheelset Another key component of our new car is the al...

Looking back on a successful season This season was filled with extraordinary moments and personal growth for our team. From preparing the car to competing across Europe, we continually pushed our limits. Each event, whether in Switzerland, Croatia or Italy, presented unique challenges, which we successfully overcame. At our first event, FSCH in Switzerland, we achieved a 4th place finish overall—our highest placement in CURE Mannheim’s history. In August, we traveled to Croatia for the FSAA, where we completely restructured our accumulator and ultimately completed the endurance race successfully. Finally, we competed in Italy at FSATA, where we reached the podium in the cost event for the first time with a 3rd place and successfully drove our first-ever complete autonomous Skidpad. Our Newest Projects As the new season kicked off in October, we’ve shifted our focus to this season’s car. There’s a lot of activity in our workshop, and we’re working closely with our partners and sponsors...
